About HUMM

HUMM was founded by Jade Douse as a space to pause, rest, and reset.

In a city where busy has become the norm, HUMM was created as a calm, thoughtfully designed environment where you can step away from the noise, slow everything down, and take a moment for yourself without distraction or pressure.

It’s a space where you can lie down, relax, and allow your nervous system to shift out of constant stress and into a deeper state of rest and regulation, supported by practices that gently guide your body into stillness.

At HUMM, sessions focus on sound baths and breathwork, helping to quiet the mind, release built-up physical tension, and bring the body back into balance, often creating a deeply meditative state where everything begins to settle.

Beyond the sessions, HUMM is also about connection. It is about reconnecting with your body if you have been feeling disconnected or overwhelmed, reconnecting with a slower, more intentional pace, and connecting with others in a space that feels warm, welcoming, and easy to be in.

The studio is intentionally small and boutique, creating an atmosphere where there is no rush to arrive and no rush to leave. You are invited to fully settle into the experience, stay for a cup of tea afterwards, and enjoy quiet conversation if it feels right.

HUMM is a place where you can come exactly as you are, and leave feeling more balanced, clear, and connected to yourself.

The Story Behind HUMM

The story behind HUMM is deeply personal.

I’m Jade, founder of HUMM, and this space was created from my own experience of feeling constantly on edge.

There was a time where I was living with health anxiety, frequent headaches, and a body that never really felt at ease. I was always thinking, always holding tension, and it felt like a cycle I couldn’t quite break out of.

As a mum of young children, life was full, busy, and often overwhelming, and I found myself craving a moment where I could truly switch off, not just mentally, but physically too.

I explored a lot in search of that feeling. Meditation, therapy, acupuncture, and different wellness practices all offered something, but nothing quite helped my body fully settle.

That changed when I experienced my first sound bath.

For the first time in years, I felt genuinely calm. My mind slowed down, the tension I had been carrying began to release, and I left feeling lighter, clearer, and more like myself again. It was the first time I understood what it felt like for my nervous system to truly regulate.

Sound became an important part of my own journey, not as something complicated, but as something simple and deeply effective. A space where I didn’t have to do anything, fix anything, or figure anything out.

Just lie down, listen, and allow my body to respond.

That experience is what led me to create HUMM.

I wanted to build a space that felt warm, calm, and welcoming. Somewhere you can come exactly as you are, whether you are feeling overwhelmed, holding tension, or simply needing a moment to pause.

A space where there is no pressure, no expectations, and no rush to leave. Where you can slow down, reconnect with your body, and feel supported in a way that carries with you beyond the session.
